This night Tzipporah was to watch the herd of sheep her father had entrusted to her but she didn't want to. She wanted to play with Proteus. She was wondering if she should when she heard quips and retorts of mild humor. She looked around and saw there was nothing to hurt the sheep and she climbed over the rocks to see what the noise was. Just over the ridge, where she could turn to check on the sheep if she remembered, was a tall man with long brown hair in a set of dazzling blue clothes that allured her focus to him. It was Proteus sparing with some of her father's hired hands. She chuckled and moved to comfort and watched. His movements were so fluid in turning their own power against them.

"I do like him sweating." She commented to herself as she watched him dazzle the men with his fancy workinds of the sword.

Tzipporah's eyes seemed to drift to the sheep, which was unusual for the present moment and she noticed that the Ram was wondering from the flock. She looked back at Proteus and groaned before she ran of to go chase the ram back to herd. She managed to cut it off as it was venturing and make it detour back. Tzipporah sighed and shook her head, like the dense animal could understand her.

She started to hike back up the rocks when the sky darkened and there was a green light coating the entire horizon. She was terrified and she moved faster. She saw the lake looked like an ocean with the way its waters were behaving and she looked down to see Proteus looking at the horizon at what seemed like a glowing green entity.

"PROTEUS!" She called over the roar of the demonic presence.

She could see him turn look over at her in concern. Tzipporah heard the sheep bleating from fear and running out of unjustified panic. Proteus managed to run up the hill and he looked over to see the large creature that Tzipporah saw but his pride wouldn't let him believe it.

"Did you see that?"

"I don't know what I saw but we can't stay here. We have to get your flock back home and your father will be worried." Proteus said as he took her hand and started to lead her back down the hill toward the livestock.

Tzipporah started rushing the sheep closer to their home and Proteus looked up after he locked the gate. He saw a swarm of green lights that looked like bat creatures. He saw one coming for Tzipporah and quickly drew his sword, pushing Tzipporah down and cutting the bat creature. It turned into green dust but quickly regained its form and scratched Proteus' face before disappearing.

"Damn it!" Proteus shouted as he clenched his face.

"Proteus... Are you alright?" Tzipporah asked him.

"It's just a scratch. You need to go into the house and lock the doors. Make sure your family doesn't come out." Proteus said.

Tzipporah nodded and started to leave when she was met with a swarm of them. She screamed as they circled her, fighting to attain this vessel. Tzipporah batted them away with her hands and Proteus dropped to the ground in pain as his flesh began to rip. He let out a loud roar that wasn't human at all. Tzipporah turned to see Proteus turning into a creature unlike anything she had ever seen. A man that looked like a wolf. She panicked but as she was distracted she was bit at the same time by four of the creatures and they disappeared. She looked at the bites but they disappeared. She then felt a terrible sting in her body. It felt like she was on fire and she looked at her hands. They were on fire! She screamed and stuffed them in the sand to put them out but as she did, her hands turned to earth. Her eyes widened as the magic within her battled for their dominance. She then felt a tingling as her body started to disappear into the breeze, carrying her away from her home. She would have screamed but it turned into a wail lost in the wind.
