The young teen yawned loudly, stretching her arms above her head as she made her way back to her uncle’s garage. She hadn’t expected to be so busy on Halloween’s eve of all days, but then again, lots of pranks was pulled which often left a lot of broken stuff to fix, which was where she came in. As always, she had no problem with working overtime, even if it happened to be on her break. Her job was also her hobby after all. Besides, her uncle still couldn’t get out of bed quite yet, that old man was getting, well, old.
“Maybe I’ll go trick and treating too, I deserve some candy after all my hard work,” she said to herself, smirking at the all the failed attempts in scaring her. People, and especially the kids always tried to pull a prank on her each year, but it always ended up with her scaring them. Speaking of which, they really hadn’t tried to scare yet this year… perhaps they gave up.
Audrey yawned again, looking down at her watch. It’s pretty late already, she’ll just take the shortcut back home.
Turning around she walked inside the forest, as always not the slightest worried about someone or something popping out to scare her. Please, like anything like ghost’s and such excited. It’s Halloween’s Eve, you just needed to pull of the mask of the all the monsters.
After having walking for 15 minutes, she had already made it halfway through the forest, humming something herself broadly. A weird sound made her come to an halt though, and she looked over shoulder, still calm as ever. She rolled her eyes. Those guys never gave up did they?
Shrugging to herself she started to walk again, but froze once more when the sound was louder, and much closer. She frowned, looking around. Was that wing flapping? And what the hell was that other weird noise?
She looked behind her again, and blinked when a green light started to light up the forest. She realizing to late that she should probably panic by now, a swarm of what looked like green bats suddenly flew right at her. She was about to run the hell out of there, but to her bad luck she tripped over something and fell flat down on her back, flinching as the bats flew right past her. She covered her head, slowly looking up when the weird green creatures were gone. She stumbled up to her feet, brushing off the dirt from her pants. What the hell just happened…?!
She frowned, looking down at her arm. Those things had scratched her… they better not have rabies or something!
She was still shock to panic, still trying to understand what had just happened. I better get home fast…
She was about to start running, when suddenly pain shot out through her whole body and she fell down to her knees again, doubling over.
“W-what the…hell..?” she whimpered, holding her stomach. She felt as if she was being torn apart, from the inside! It burned… it hurt! What was happening?! Her whole body was hurting like hell! It was as if something was trying to break out form her body…! Hang on… was she… was she growing?
She lift a trembling hand to her face, eyes widening as she saw it grow larger, claws appearing and her skin color change color. She felt her back rip open, and she cried out. Only her cry made her panic even more if that was possible, since it didn’t sound anything like a human scream.

Audrey didn’t know how long she had been laying there, or screaming… Her whole body felt so numb now, but at least the pain had stopped.
Again, she tried to stand up and managed to stumble up on her shaking legs. …had she always been this tall? And has it always been this easy to see during night?
She leaned against a tree when her legs was about to give out again. What had she been doing again? She had been on her way back home right? Right… after work… or something…
She groaned, but it sounded more like a growl… a very inhuman growl.
Feeling the panic and worry returning, she tried to walk over to a small puddle only to pnce again fall down to her knees. She placed her hands… claws, on the ground and leaned over, wishing she hadn’t decided to take a look at her own reflection, because that made her release another loud, echoing an painful growl throw-out the forest.
