Personality • Dimitri is determined and once he starts something that's important to him, that becomes his only focus until it's finished. This is usually photography projects but it can also extend to other aspects of his life. His parents taught him to be kind, hardworking and unselfish, but after his first love broke his heart he realised that people were only out for themselves and what they could get and decided to do exactly the same thing, using women to get over his own heartache and boredom. He puts up a front with strangers as if he can't be fazed by anything. Only the people closest to him see the real him, his fears, dreams etc
History • Dimitri's mother died in childbirth and because of his grief for his wife's death, which he blamed Dimitri for, his father couldn't take care of him. He was soon adopted by a kind and loving family, finding out he was adopted at the age of 16.
After he found out that his birth mother was a famous photographer he started studying it himself to somehow feel closer to her. His work was soon recognised and when he was 18 he won a competition for the opportunity to photograph a famous French actress, he fell in love with her at first sight which led to his first major heartbreak and causing him to be the sometimes cold and distant man he is today.
Halloween Night • Dimitri had been photographing Meg with a male model, who she was flirting with. The fact that he was flirting back annoyed Dimitri. So he started saying things that intimidated him and scared him away. Meg and Dimitri then started arguing as she told him it was just a bit of harmless fun. But the fighting was soon over as they headed home so he could make it up to her.
Both Meg and Dimitri were oblivious to the chaos outside, too wrapped up in each other to care, even when the bats sneaked into their room and infected them. As they disappeared, Meg started to feel strange. She felt a new desire form within her and she let her body control her actions as she bit into Dimitri and started to drink his blood.
Curse • Meg and Dimitri are vampiric demons, cursed with an uncontrollable desire to feed on others, they become weak if they don't feed on a persons blood at least twice a day.
They can also feed on a persons emotional pain from their nightmares, which they cause themselves by infecting that person with a hormone that is created during sex, though it is impossible for them to infect each other. After they have infected that person they go into a deep sleep, at which time their worst fears are brought to life. Their nightmares can seem so real that sometimes what happens to that person in the dream can happen to them in real life. And even though the infection disappears as soon as that person wakes up, they feel drained of energy and their physical scars remain.
Those tormented by guilt, revenge or other emotional turmoil are the easiest prey for them to seduce.
They have heightened senses; strength; speed and agility and can only go outside during the day for short periods of time, as the sunlight makes them weak. As a bond was created between the two of them when they were cursed, they can't be separated for more than 12 hours at a time otherwise they grow weak, to the point where not even blood can sustain them.
